Rejoice in the Lord always, again I say rejoice! … The Lord is at hand. | Philippians 4:4-5

The Greek here for the word rejoice means to “be filled with joy” (the opposite of mourning). We are to “be filled with joy” always. No matter what comes our way, whether by sadness or happiness we are to “be filled with joy” not mourning. Why? Because “the Lord is at hand!” What an encouragement for believers. In every situation our Lord is nigh – to watch over us, to protect us, to keep us … “Again I say rejoice!”

Hallelujah, What a Savior …
